In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdoms, we're able to travel the beautiful regions of Hyrule to our own liking, while examining the Regional Phenomena. Each region has it's own beauty, whether it be the mountains with vast lakes and idyllic little ponds in Lanayru, where the Zora Domain is, the icy mountains of Hebra near Rito Village or the Gerudo desert, sprinkled with oases, the firey red mountains of Eldin.

Each region has their own culture and people. And these people of course have their own weapons. So the Zora have their Zora shields and spears, the Rito their Swallow Bows, the Geruod their Scimitars and Gerudo Shields and the Goron their Cobble Crushers. To craft impressive weapons, such as the Lightscale Trident, you'll need the regional weapons. Where to find the Zora Spear for your Lightscale Trident and complete the "Glory of the Zora" quest, we'll tell you here.

How To Get A Zora Spear For The "Glory of the Zora" Quest

Of course, you'll get a Zora Spear near Zora's Domain. So if you're looking for it, best do so in Lanayru. There are three possibilities how to get a Zora Spear in TotK. If you're like me, and you've found and broke your first Zora Spear before you even knew you would need it for a quest, don't worry, there are plenty of options!

Through a Quest

You've probably already done this. If you're first visiting the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower you'll find Bazz, a Zora covered in oily shimmering mud, asking for help. If you complete the quest "Mired in Muck", Bazz will reward you with a Zora Spear.

Chest Locations

There are two known locations, with (more or less) hidden chests that contain a Zora Spear, or at least two known chests that will definitely have a Zora Spear inside. It is possible, that you'll find them in other chests too, but you shouldn't rely on that.

  1. The first Chest is located roughly at 2845, 0196, 0169, buried in mud next to a small pond southwest of Ralis Pond. You can just glide there from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. Use a Splash fruit or Chuchu Jelly to clear the mud, and you'll find a Zora Spear inside the chest.
  2. The second one can be found in the at 4415, 0700, 0273, between the two entrances of the Ulria Grotto East cave. In the remains of a hut you'll find the chest half buried into the earth and can extract it with Ultrahand.

Loot them from Enemies

In rare occasions you'll encounter a Lizalfos wielding a Zora Spear as a weapon, more commonly, it happens that a Like Like will drop a chest with a Zora Spear in it. Chances are, that there's another Zora weapon in the chest, but you can wait until the next Blood Moon, to kill the Like Like again or just safe your game before killing the Like Like and reload if you're not happy with the loot.

You can search for Like Likes (or Ice Likes, or Stone Likes...) in all caves around the Zora's Domain or Lanayru, but we'd recommend ones like the Upland Zorana Byroad or the Ancient Zora Waterworks.

Find them in the Depths

If you got too much time you could go and search for a Zora Spear in the Depths. Maybe you'll find a statue of an ancient Zora holding one or some of the mysterious soldier spirits have a few, but you should probably just go down there for Zora Spears, if you really can't find them otherwise.

As a last "bonus option" there is the Miphas Amiibo that can provide you with a Zora Spear.

Now you should definitely be able to find a Zora Spear and craft the Lightscale Trident to complete the "Glory of the Zora" quest!
