To get more energy cells for your battery, you require 100 Crystallized Charges. These are made in a Forge Construct with Zonaite ore. So hand the ore over and you will get a shiny Crystallized Charge. Sadly, there is a cap on how many charges you can get from one Forge per in-game day and the ratio of charges/ore is not 1:1, but instead more like 1:3, so you'll need around 300 Zonaite ore for one upgrade.

When you got your hundred charges, travel to a Crystal Refinery of your choice and give the charges to the friendly Zonai construct. As a reward, he will give your battery more capacity.

Unfortunately, one battery upgrade will not give you a full additional battery, but only one of the three slots. On Link's belt there is space for eight batteries, so upgrading the batteries to the maximum will require A LOT of farming, have fun with that.

Since, there are limits to the amount of Crystallized Charges to farm in a day, the most efficient place to do that is a special Forge Construct situated within the Depths. While there is a daily limit of 30 charges, the Forge Construct sells a variety of sizes, including five Large Crystallized Charges and one Huge Crystallized Charge. These larger charges are worth 20 or even 100 times the normal ones, making them highly valuable.

To acquire the large charges, you'll need the corresponding large version of the ore. Fortunately, mining down in the Depths, allows you to obtain these ores as well. By combining both farming Zonaite Ore from enemies and breaking ore deposits, and purchasing Crystallized Charges from the Forge Construct, you can get quite a lot of charges within a single day.

And that is all you need to know about upgrading your battery in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Now you can really discover Hyrule without being limited by your battery life!
