How to find the Apapes Lightroot and its Chasm Entrance in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Apapes Lightroot in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is like many secrets of this game: pretty easy to find if you know how. The Apapes Lightroot is directly located beneath the Sepapa Shrine and an own "island" in the Depths, that can only be reached through its own chasm. Where you can find the chasm and the Apapes Lightroot, we will tell you.
How To Find Apapes Lightroot
Since the Apapes Lightroot is in its own section in the Central Hyrule Depths, you'll first have to travel to the Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm. For that, you'll have several options. You could cross the Boneyard bridge and craft a boat with Ultrahand to cross the river. If you have unlocked the Sepapa Shrine you can teleport yourself there and climb down the cliff where the entrance is and swim the last bit, if your stamina is good enough or – what's the easiest solution as most of the time: use your glider.
If you choose to use your Paraglider like I did, you can do so starting from Hyrule Castle, or if you have at least two stamina wheels from the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. You'll have to look closely to spot the cave opening, just above the water. As soon as you enter, you've already found the Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm and can jump right down into the Depths.

As soon as you reach the end of the chasm, open your glider. There's a Frox directly beneath you, just waiting to attack! If you're eager to fight, use your higher position to shoot the first arrows at it. To defeat the Frox is similar to defeat a Talus. Should you – like me – prefer not to grapple with this beast, you can use your Paraglider and Tulin's help to go north, where you'll already spot the Apapes Lightroot.
