Pokimane recently got into hot waters for her comments regarding the ethics of streaming on Kick (a platform built by an online casino). With all the backlash she faced, she talked about how bad things are for female streamers, but it seems like xQc disagrees, saying male streamers have it worse.

Felix “xQc” Lengyel started out as a professional Overwatch player and is known for his eccentric and humorous behavior. Guess people like watching somebody rage at video games, because he quickly gained followers, becoming one of the biggest streamers out there and even getting one hell of a deal for a non-exclusive contract on Kick.

xQc Responds To Pokimane's “Sad Truth”

Pokimane recently addressed the struggles female streamers face, after she faced backlash for her take on Kick.

On stream, she explained how the backlash she receives translates to other female streamers as well, using the example of the backlash and hate she received for revealing what she looked like without make-up.

I will never forget one time, I had a girl come up to me, and she was like, ‘Oh, I stream sometimes.’ She basically said, ‘I’m way too scared to stream without make-up, because I saw what people did to you.’ I was like, that’s so f*cking sad.

This opened a whole new can of worms, when xQc stumbled upon the clip, as he boldly claims that male streamer have it worse. His argument is that male streamer get way more sh*t for their looks.

Guys, maybe I’m wrong about this. I see, by ratio, more male creators getting sh*t on for their looks — like the most edited, baldness, scuffed-ness, garbage — by their own viewers, than anything I see toward female creators.

This is a pretty brain-dead take if you consider all the sexist bullsh*t female streamers have to deal with on a regular basis. You can simply acknowledge that, and still point out that male streamers get made fun off a lot for their looks.

Am I wrong about that? Every streamer I know of, in their entirety, all have pictures of them with pure baldness and dents in their heads and garbage on their face, over and over again.

xQc really had those examples at the ready! We all know how much sh*t Asmongold gets for his hairline, not to forget Tyler1 for his height, Trainwreck for looking like an ape or Mizkif just in general.

Most of these male streamers just laugh it off and often even lean into the jokes, but it's true that male streamers often face toxic comments in that regard. Still, female streamers frequently have to deal with way worse stuff online, like getting spammed with dick pics, rape threats and the list goes on and on and on. So how about we cut out the whataboutism and just focus on how to make the internet a better place?

Without taking any sides on who has it worse on Twitch, male streamers sure are lucky as they don't have to worry about nip-slips:
