Understanding the Bronze Rank

Before diving into Competitive, it's important to strive for exceptional proficiency in the game, possibly with the company of a friend or two. This is because Riot Games promptly promotes skilled players through favorable match outcomes, resulting in instant rank advancement. For instance, suppose you're currently in Iron 1, and you win 10 matches as the match MVP in each one. Valorant will elevate your rank to Iron 3 or even Bronze. However, once you reach Bronze, how should you approach the game and aim for greatness?

How To Get Out Of Bronze

  • Practice your aiming skills. In Bronze, displaying competent aiming abilities can significantly impact your performance. Since few players at this skill level effectively utilize their Agents, there's no need to fret about advanced strategies. Instead, focus on developing your aim through regular practice. Ultimately, shooting down enemies is the essence of Valorant's core gameplay.
  • Main 1-2 Agents exclusively. The choice of which Agents to main is entirely up to you, but we recommend against constantly changing roles from match to match. Maybe check out our guide Valorant: The Top 3 Agents for Beginners
  • Refine your movement. One valuable tip to remember in Bronze is to master the technique of counter strafing. Although challenging for beginners, once you become proficient at it, expect to experience substantial improvements and victories.
  • Avoid tilting and frustration. It is widely known that becoming angry while playing Valorant leads to a loss of focus in various aspects, including enemy awareness, aim, and ability utilization. So now you're prepared and for sure will make your way out of Bronze! Good luck!
