Valorant Champions is the ultimate Valorant competition, and this year's VCT tour will conclude in Los Angeles. Interestingly, Valorant's newest agent, Gekko, hails from Los Angeles. This probably means there will be numerous fans sporting Gekko's distinctive fluorescent hair color in the audience.

Almost every game has an event similar to Champions. The top teams, players, and content creators gather in one location, competing for a significant prize pool and delivering the game's grandest spectacle. Last year's arena was completely sold out, with over 1.5 million unique viewers tuning in to the streams. Since then, teams have undergone changes, and the competitive landscape has evolved.

Teams from around the world will participate in this magnificent tournament, with a total of 16 teams in contention. Following the LOCK//IN event, VCT teams will compete in regional competitions across the Pacific, EMEA, and Americas regions, striving to qualify for both Masters in Tokyo and Champions in Los Angeles.

The championship will be held from August 6th to August 26th.

The tournament will take place in two venues:

  • Kia Forum (home of the Clippers)
  • Shrine Auditorium (home court of USC Trojans)

Riot Games is the organizer, and the current sponsor is INZONE. The Top 4 teams will compete at the Kia Forum, while all other games will be played at the Shrine Auditorium. Specifically, from August 6th to August 20th, the Shrine Auditorium will host the matches, narrowing down the 16 teams to the top 4. Afterward, the Champions will battle it out at the Kia Forum, which may become the largest venue in Valorant's competitive history.

Valorant features four international leagues, with three regional leagues represented by at least four teams each, while China will have a minimum of three teams competing in Los Angeles. This brings the total number of teams at the Shrine to 15. The final slot will be awarded to the winner of the upcoming VCT Masters Tokyo, regardless of their region of origin.
