Gaming is a highly favored pastime among teenagers for valid reasons. It is our responsibility to shield younger individuals from undesirable situations, visuals, and language. This guide offers ways to maximize safety for minors while playing Valorant.

Ensuring a Safe Valorant Experience for Kids

Riot has designed Valorant to be accessible and secure for all eligible age groups. This article presents a few quick and simple steps to ensure the safest version of the game.

The first step is to disable blood in Valorant. Although the game involves shooting, there's no need to depict blood. It works the same as for the following settings and all are found in the same settings menu, so there you can already do a lot.

Next, disable two other options found in the same settings menu:

  • Disable Mature Content
  • Disable Corpses Display
  • Disable Blood Display

Disabling Mature Content will filter out any content suitable only for adults, ensuring that certain words and in-game content are appropriately filtered. The option to disable Corpses is helpful, as it replaces downed Agents' corpses with a circle indicating their location.

Disabling Voice Chat

While communication is crucial for children to develop their social skills, there are instances where it can have adverse effects. Valorant often fosters a toxic environment, leading many players to mute others during games.

To avoid confrontations and unwanted encounters with toxic individuals, the simplest solution is muting the audio from other players.

To disable voice chat, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Navigate to Audio and Voice Chat on the same page
  3. At the bottom of the screen, locate the Team Voice Chat option
  4. Click "OFF" to the right of it

This ensures that only players in the same party can communicate with each other, allowing the child to hear only their friends' voices.
