The Last of Us has lots of thrilling moments: sneaking through a hotel with no ammo to spare, or having to face the worst of humanity, just to name a few. Universal are now making it possible to experience it all in real life in their very own house of horrors with Joel and Ellie at your side.
Neil Druckman never stops, does he? For the annual event for the spooky season, the director of the Last of Us teamed up with Universal Studios to scare fans even more – in real life, for once. This year's Halloween Horror Night event will even feature the original Joel and Ellie from the game.
Every year, Universal Studios hosts the Halloween Horror Night with different attractions for the fearless in Hollywood and Orlando. The Last of Us' success speaks for itself, so now the game turned show turns... theme-park attraction!

Live The Last of Us Yourself With Joel And Ellie At Your Side
The infamous walk-through attractions tackle The Last of Us this year and fans can even look forward to the game-versions of Joel and Ellie reprising their roles for the house of horrors. Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker who voiced the iconic duo in the games recorded new dialogue just for Universal's haunted house.
The voices are not the only thing that's gonna be familiar to fans daring to enter the TLOU-themed horror attraction. The crafting tables make their return and even if visitors won't be able to attach a scope to a pistol in five seconds flat like Joel, they sure make for an authentic experience and will be a utilized part of the haunted house.
The set at Universal's will reportedly also feature familiar locations from the game. Neil Druckman himself is responsible for the location as he requested at Universal to explore the Pittsburgh part of the first game.

For those who can't exactly remember what happened in Pittsburgh: that's the hotel part. That's where Joel falls down the elevator and needs to get back up to Ellie, fighting his way through this cursed basement, trying to find the damned key card that only works once the generator's on.
If you know, you know – that's arguably one of the most stressful, scariest parts of the whole game, no matter how often you've already beaten the game. Thanks, Neil.

"Identical To What You Saw In That Video Game"
Lora Sauls from Universal Orlando shared even more details about the upcoming attraction with SFX Magazine. According to her, there are going to be lots of details to make the experience as authentic as possible, including masks for Clickers and Bloaters "that are absolutely beautiful and identical to what you saw in the game."
I'll be honest, if a real life Clicker follows me, I'm gonna camp out at the crafting table and throw nail bombs until the cows come home. I don't care if it's a theme-park attraction or not, that's the only appropriate reaction.
