League of Legends' next champion is going to be a female Vampire jungler by the name of Briar. Once she is released though later this year, players are going to be thirsting for new information on the next champion, right?
Thankfully, one League of Legends fan has already done some searching for hints and clues about the upcoming ink mage mid laner. One of the interesting facts they found is a potential link between them and our favorite scarecrow Demon – Fiddlesticks.
LoL Ink Mage: How Could They Relate To Fiddlesticks?
In the last few years Riot have changed up how they reveal champion lore, by adding in little hints throughout their various IPs. Just recently, in a VALORANT teaser, the name 'Briar' showed up, hinting at the upcoming vampire champ the League of Legends champions team has been working on.

Now, one League of Legends fan has scoured the internet and found a few interesting similarities that could hint at a fun relationship between the Ink Mage and Fiddlesticks.
Reddit user Zarathielis has come up with the theory and the points they make seem quite solid. In a Reddit post they explained that the Ink Mag has been described as someone quite sad with a tragic backstory.

In one of the Riot Forge games from this year, the Mageseeker, a researcher reveals information about multiple demons. One of those demons is the demon Nilah is related to. Another demon described in the research is a "depressed shut-in" which somehow fits the description of the Ink Mage as well.
Now, the biggest hint at a relationship between the Ink Mage and Fiddlesticks comes from the story "The Ancient Fear" from the League of Legends universe page. In it, it is revealed that a young mage once summoned something dangerous, like a demon.
Long, long ago, in a tower by the edge of the sea, a foolish young mage summoned something into the world that he was not prepared to control. What stepped before the boy was something older than recorded history. Something darker than a yawning, starless night. Something the world had desperately tried to forget—and in an instant, the mage, the creature, and the tower itself were lost to all of time.
This something that was awoken by the mage seems to be none other than Fiddlesticks. Of course, it's just speculation to believe that the demon summoned by the mage is Fiddlesticks, but judging by the story and what is described it could make sense.
Could the ink mage, be the one who summoned Fiddlesticks and unleashed the evil demon on Runeterra? Unfortunately we're going to have to wait a little longer to find out whether these theories are right.
