It's quite reasonable that HoYoverse reuses voice actors for their two most popular games: Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. However, you usually only notice the similarities after listening rather closely!
Even if you already spotted one or two characters that share a voice, you will be surprised how many overlapping voice actors there are in both games!

Honkai Star Rail Shares Voice Actors With Genshin Impact
Disclaimer: I will only talk about the English voice actors (VA) in the following article. There are way more similarities when it comes to the Japanese or Chinese voices of some characters!
Voice acting is a very impressive skill and requires a lot of training and understanding of the characters you're supposed to speak as. Giving a popular game's character your voice, is something so fascinating and definitely a huge achievement! (I am so jealous …)
An excellent voice actor brings life to an otherwise fictional character and makes a game's experience a million times more memorable. Genshin Impact has a lot of perfect examples of good voice acting and to honor that, we will take a closer look at them!
Rosaria & Natasha
VA: Elizabeth Maxwell
Our favorite nun of the Church of Favonius is the first one to share a voice with a Honkai Star Rail character, namely Natasha!
Would you've guessed it?
We are starting off with an easy one, since it is probably the most obvious of them all. The calm and soothing voice of Elizabeth Maxwell fits the mysterious nun Rosaria and the caring doctor Natasha equally well! However, Natasha has a slightly higher pitched voice than her Genshin counterpart!

Both characters are pretty different from each other. Although Rosaria is a rather quiet nun, who prefers to act alone in the shadows, she knows exactly how to fight in a sticky situation! Natasha on the other hand, is a caring and loving doctor who is constantly surrounded by people who want to show their gratitude towards her. She really is an angel … with a machine-gun?
An angel and a nun? … not too far off I suppose!
Nilou & Arlan
VA: Dani Chambers
Nilou, the dancer under the Zubayr Theater shares her voice with Arlan from Herta's Space Station!
Nilou and Arlan share the same voice? I would’ve never guessed that one!
This one by far harder to recognize then the first pair! Since Arlan is a rather child-like character, the slightly more feminine voice of Dani Chambers fits him quite nicely! Nilou's voice however is by far higher pitched and the difference between both is enormous! Really impressive how one person is responsible for two such different voices!
Even if both characters are quite similar in their personality, each of them has a unique job they are performing in the corresponding game.
Nilou's dancing is but elegant and graceful — however, outside the stage's spotlight, she's just like any girl her age: warm, smiling, and friendly. Arlan is way more science oriented, and he is responsible for the safety of the Herta Space Station!
And who voiced Peppy?!
Mona, Asta & Hook
VA: Felecia Angelle
Mona has a really cool and a little sassy voice which she shares with two Honkai Star Rail characters: Asta and Hook!
What a weird combination …
Now it is getting wild! A mighty magician, a lead astronomer and the self-proclaimed boss of “The Moles” share a voice? That is quite a mixture to say the least! But Felecia Angelle manages to voice all three characters in an excellent way! I always loved Mona's voice!

There are literally no similarities between those three characters, except for Mona and Asta, who are both into Astronomy! However, one of them is an actual (and broke) magician and the other one a scientist who is responsible for an entire Space Station.
A truly gigantic variety of personalities!
Cyno & Jing Yuan
VA: Alejandro Saab
The two generals Cyno and Jing Yuan share the same voice? That's quite fitting!
A beautiful voice for two beautiful characters… What else is there to say?
Both Cyno and Jing Yuan are very well likes characters in their corresponding games and have some unique features, which makes them fun to play! Giving them the same voice actor does in fact make a lot of sense, since both are in a leading position as a general! Alejandro Saab was exactly the right man for this job!

Next to being a voice actor, Alejandro Saab is also an active VTuber!
Jing Yuan and Cyno share a lot of personality traits as well, since both are rather thoughtful, smart, and strategic. Just a perfect combo!
He really is the voice of the generals!
Dehya & Yanqing
VA: Amber May
Dehya and Yanqing having the same voice actor is a pretty interesting combination!
The only thing Dehya and Yanqing have in common are their voices, and that they are amazing fighters! It's quite exciting that both Yanqing and his master Jing Yuan have Sumerian voices! And even Dehya is from Sumeru, the whole Sumeru Desert family is involved in this one!
Even if there are quite some difference in both characters, Amber May is voicing both of them excellent and makes it so not obvious that she is the one behind both of them! Truly skilled!
