Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 just wrapped up the first part of the story fans will soon be able to see the plot from Season 1 continue. Now that the Gojo's Past Arc (or Hidden Inventory Arc) is pretty much done, we're ready to witness the greatness that is the Shibuya Arc.

With Season 2 being split into two arcs, the main one definitely being the Shibuya Arc, you will have to wait a little until you get to see Nobara, Megumi and Yuuji once more. Now that we took a deep dive into the past of none other than Satorou Gojo, the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in the story, we're set to return to the present events.

The Shibuya Incident Arc should encompass the remaining 18 episodes of the second season and will start right after a short flashback.

The release date for the Shibuya Arc is going to be August 31, 2023. Viewers are going to have to wait until the end of the summer to finally catch a glimpse of Sukuna in action, as well as all the other first and second-years of Jujutsu Tech.

The Shibuya Arc has been named one of the most insane manga arcs ever and has garnered a lot of attention from readers, so fans are especially hyped for this exact part of the source material to be adapted to the anime.

While there are going to be scenes throughout the anime that were not part of the manga, it has been revealed that manga artist Akutami Gege worked alongside the animation team as well. It was noted by the MAPPA CEO that Gege "examine[s] scenes and also review[s] scripts and storyboards" of the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: The Story Leading Up To Shibuya Arc

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The story is set in a world where Cursed Spirits feed on unsuspecting humans and fragments of the feared curse Ryomen Sukuna have been scattered.

The protagonist, Yuji Itadori, a high school student, becomes a Jujutsu Sorcerer after swallowing one of Sukuna's cursed fingers. He joins a secret organization of sorcerers to eliminate curses and collect all of Sukuna's fingers, aiming to perform a full exorcism and free himself from the curse.

Throughout the show and manga, Yuuji is faced with the loss of precious friends, as well as having to confront his own weaknesses, especially against another curse by the name of Mahito, who has become one of the main antagonists of the story.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will kick off on July 6, 2023 and you can watch it on Crunchyroll!
