Ryan Evans from High School Musical officially came out of the closet and it seems like he found love. Took him a while, but good for him nonetheless!
Disney+ released a little sneak peek of the High School Musical reunion that's gonna hit the streaming platform on August 9. And one character from the OG movies seems to have found his love: Ryan Evans, ladies and gents!
For all of her faults, I'm sure Sharpay was the most supportive sister when Ryan came out of the closet and nobody can convince me otherwise. Still, it's kind of a big step for Disney to make it official on-screen.

Is Disney Getting More Progressive?
Disney is infamous for being "hesitant" about canonically queer characters in their shows and movies, so Ryan being openly gay isn't only great character development for him, but for Disney as well.
It was confirmed years ago that Ryan was gay, even though that didn't make it to the original High School Musical movies. Actor Lucas Grabeel knew his character was gay from the start, but director Kenny Ortega claimed that "Disney might not be ready to cross that line" and they did not make it canon back then.
