There are a few conditions to sign up for the user research:
- Participants must be in the United States and at least 18 years old.
- User research will take place via video chat through your personal PC, by phone, or via online surveys. On-site sessions may be recorded in the future at Epic's UX Lab in Cary, NC.
- If you are selected to participate in user research, you will be required to read and sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) provided by Epic Games.
While participation is currently only open to residents of the United States, you can still apply if you live in another country. Epic Games may eventually change the criteria and allow all Fortnite players to participate in these surveys. So it's worth giving it a shot.

How To Sign Up For Fortnite User Research
If you now feel like signing up for user research, follow these steps:
- Visit this website and click on "I'm 18+ and want to register".
- You will then be redirected to Google Forms where you will need to fill out the application (to fill it out, you will only need to enter some basic information about yourself, such as your name, date of birth and place of residence)
- Then click "Submit" and wait for Epic Games to get back to you.
- Once you are eligible for a research study, you will receive an email from Epic with more information.
Epic Games shares on the UK user research website that once you have participated in the research study, you will receive an Amazon gift voucher (in digital form) for providing your valuable insights and opinions. In previous studies, these were $100 vouchers, which is a nice sum for your feedback.
