Valorant Patch 3.07 Overview - StatTrak Skins & Agent Changes

We're almost in the middle of the first Valorant Episode, and Riot has provided us with a new skin collection and some Agent changes. Let's see what's in store this time!

It may not be the most significant update in Valorant's history, but it's still worth looking at. New skin collection, light buff for Viper, a little help for Jett mains, and no more penalties for leaving a Deathmatch. In short, it seems like Valorant Patch 3.07 is all about making the game prettier and more consistent; let's check out what Riot did to accomplish this.

Valorant Patch 3.07: RGX 11Z Pro Skins

So, we got a skin collection with some new mechanics. On the bottom of each weapon, you'll find a counter showing the number of kills scored with this skin in your whole career. This is actually the equivalent of the StatTrak mechanic from CS:GO. The name of this collection is "RGX 11Z Pro Skins," and because it is not too catchy, it will probably be remembered as "StatTrak skins".

The RGX 11Z Pro collection contains skins for 5 weapons:

  • Guardian
  • Vandal
  • Frenzy
  • Stinger
  • Melee (Katana)

and comes in 4 variants:

  • Green
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Red

The cost of the entire RGX 11Z Bundle is 8700 Valorant Points. If you are only interested in a single gun skin, you will pay 2175 VPs for it, whereas Katana Melee will cost you 4350 VPs.

Valorant Patch 3.07: Agent Changes

Valorant Patch 3.07 shouldn't actually change anything in the meta, but we have two small Agent changes where both are buffs. And honestly, Viper and Jett mains should be pretty happy with them.

Viper

  • Passing through the highest portion of Viper’s wall now correctly applies instant decay to high-flying Agents.

Previously, jumping over a Toxic Screen (E Ability) would not damage Agents like Jett or Raze, even if they lightly touched the wall. However, this will change from now on, making Viper's wall even better now that there is no consistent counter to it anymore.

Jett

  • Jett’s Blade Storm kunai will now recharge after killing a training dummy or defuse practice bot.

So yes, Jett's ultimate ability used to reset in a practice mode, but that will no longer be the case. Does this change anything in ranked play? No, but it makes practice much easier for all Jett mains. See what it looks like in a visual presentation:

Valorant Patch 3.07: Deathmatch Penalties

Lastly, Valorant Patch 3.07 brings changes to the Deathmatch system. From now on, you will not receive any penalties for leaving a Deathmatch game.

  • Penalties removed for leaving Deathmatch early
  • Full game participation is required to earn XP.

Honestly, were there any penalties for leaving Deathmatch before? Not really. We can tell you that the author of this article has left Deathmatch in the middle of it many times and never got banned. If you have any experience with Deathmatch penalties, feel free to join our Discord and tell us about it.
