LoL Patch 13.10: Item Updates For Midseason

Riot is making huge changes to itemization. They've already hinted at some big adjustments for lethality items earlier this season, with the developer unhappy with both Duskblade and Prowler's Claw and how oppressive the items are, thus deciding on some major updates.

Not only that, but in the most recent dev blog regarding itemization in League of Legends Season 13,Riot have revealed that they're going to be updating the bot lane items, to give players more satisfaction when they play bot laners.

Enchanter items are also getting some changes, with a whole new item being introduced in the next League of Legends Patch as well, while Imperial Mandate is being re-classified as a legendary item. But other items like Moonstone Renewer are also getting adjustments this midseason update.

Trinket Updates in Midseason Patch

Aside from the flurry of Item changes coming to League with LoL Patch 13.10, Riot is looking to change the trinkets that are currently in the game. Let's take a look at what we can expect for the next update.

Farsight Alteration

  • Farsight will now provide vision over walls withing 500 units
  • Farsight will now ping enemy champions revealed on the mini map
  • Upon detecting an enemy champion for the first time, Farsight will ping the enemy champion on the minimap, expand its vision radius to 800 units, and then self-destruct. (Note: There will still be enough time for the enemy to destroy the ward for 15 gold.)

Oracle Lens

  • If the owner of Oracle Lens is actively hitting a ward, their team will now gain vision of the ward so they can completely clear it out (Note: 2 seconds of vision will be granted since the last hit before Oracle ran out)
  • Oracle Lens will now have 2 charges
  • Charge Recharge Time: 120-60 seconds --> 160-100 seconds
  • Duration: 10 seconds --> 6 seconds

Midseason Update Summoner's Rift Changes

Not only are we getting a huge overhaul of the item system and which items are classified as mythic items, but Riot is also making some major adjustments to Summoner's Rift itself. There are going to be changes to Minions, Turrets and the Fountain.

Object in LoLChanges
Minions
  • Except for the first spawn of minions, Mid lane minions will meet at the same time as side lanes (side lane minions sped up) - falls off at minute 14
  • Minions that have targeted an enemy tower will ignore "call for help" signals to target enemy champions
Unleashed Teleport
  • Update time: 14 minutes --> 10 minutes
  • Unleashed Teleport Cooldown: 240 seconds --> 330 seconds - 240 seconds (levels 1 - 10)
Turrets
  • Champions now deal their total AD plus 60% of their AP
  • Plate Rushdown Resistances (20s after taking a plate): 0-180 (based on number of chamions) --> 45-225 (based on number of champions)
Homeguards
  • Normal Homeguard Start Time: 20 minutes --> 14 minutes
Fountain
  • Mana Regen Per 0.25s Tick: 2.1% Max Mana --> 3.1% Max Mana
Jungle Plants
  • Blast Cone (over the river wall) Initial Respawn: 5:00-5:30 --> 9:00-9:30

The changes to the minion speed will fall off at 14 minutes according to Riot TheTruexy on Twitter who explained that the balance team doesn't want to change the pace of the mid and late game, but only help out in the early game.

These changes to the towers should also help teams not fall too far behind after getting ganked one time, thus ending the laning phase early completely.

LoL Patch 13.10: All Champion and System Balance Changes

Of course, we also have to talk about the upcoming balance changes on Summoner's Rift. There are a lot of itemization updates this patch, but Riot is also going to buff and nerf some champions along with them, especially to give them some off-meta builds.

Neeko Jungle Adjustments For LoL Patch 13.10

Blooming Burst (Q)

  • Bonus Monster Damage: 30-70 --> 35-95

Shapesplitter (W)

  • Bonus Monster Damage: 50 --> 75

Pop Blossom (R)

  • AP Ratio: 100% --> 120%

Ivern Mid-Scope Update Delayed

Ivern is getting a mid-scope update, which had many players excited. He's a unique champion, but is one of the least played champs in the entire game. This Mid-Scope Update should make him more popular, but it seems that fans are rather disappointed with the changes... especially after they saw the treatment Neeko received in her adjustments.

Ivern Mid-Scope Update Changes

Passive - Friend of the Forest

  • Ivern will not hurt non-epic jungle monsters. Instead Ivern can right click a jungle monster to grow a Grove which costs health and mana
    • Groves:
    • Grow over time
    • One fully grown, Ivern can harvest them, freeing the camp and earning gold and experience
    • Ivern can also smite the Groves to instantly grow and free the camp, earning hold and experience

Q - Rootcaller

  • Ivern conjures a vine dealing magic damage and rooting the first enemy hit for 1.2 seconds. ALlies that attack a rooted enemy dash into attack range
  • Ivern can re-cast Rootcaller to instead dash directly onto the rooted enemy

W - Brushmaker

  • Passive: While in brush and for 3 second(s) after leaving it, Ivern's attacks deal additional magic damage. Nearby allies will gain this effect for 1.5 seconds and also deal magic damage
  • Active: Ivern grows a patch of Brush and reveals it for 5 seconds. The Brush persists until Ivern's team loses vision within it or up to 60

E - Triggerseed

  • Ivern grants a Shield to an ally champion. After 2 seconds it bursts dealing magic damage and slowing enemies by 50% for 2 seconds
  • If Triggerseed detonates and no enemy champions are hit, the ally will be shielded for 2 seconds

R - Daisy!

  • Ivern summons his sentinel friend Daisy to leap into the fray for 60 seconds dealing magic damage, and knocking up enemies hit for 0.75 on arrival
  • Daisy! can also be cast on targets rooted by Rootcaller at any range. Over the next 60 seconds, Daisy! can be recast to instructing Daisy to attack or move
  • Daisy, Slam! Daisy's 3rd consecutive attack on the same champion or epic monster will launch a shockwave, dealing magic damage to all enemeis hit as well as stunning and knocking them up for 0.75 secseconds. This effect can only occur once every 3 seconds and begind on cooldown

ARAM Adjustments in LoL Patch 13.10

Aram is a lot of fun, no doubt. It's even more fun to play a champion that flourishes in this specific environment. At the moment, some champs are way too strong, while others are a bit too weak. Which champions will be buffed and nerfed this time?

ARAM Champion Buffs

Gnar

  • 100% Damage Dealt --> 105% Damage Dealt

Gragas

  • 100% Damage Dealt --> 105% Damage Dealt

Kled

  • 100% Damage Dealt --> 105% Damage Dealt

ARAM Champion Nerfs

Evelynn

  • 115% Damage Dealt --> 105% Damage Dealt

Milio

  • 100% Shielding --> 95% Shielding
  • 100% Healing --> 95% Healing

Shen

  • 100% Damage Taken --> 105% Damage Taken

Snow Moon Skins Released in LoL Patch 13.10

We are also going to be getting some brand-new Snow Moon skins in the next League of Legends update. There are going to be three skins, which is to be expected after the amount of skins Riot released in LoL Patch 13.10 for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational.

  • Snow Moon Morgana
  • Snow Moon Ahri
  • Snow Moon Varus

These are all epic skins and will release with LoL Patch 13.10. There is no legendary skin in the bunch, but these are three great skins for anyone who enjoys playing the champions.

LoL Patch 13.10 and the midseason update is set to release May 18, 2023, with cosmetics entering the store a day later on May 19, 2023. Hopefully your champions will have the glowup and off-meta build they deserve with all these changes.
