Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been the 2023 highlight of many gamers around the world. The game's launch last month was a huge success and it received top ratings of renowned video game critics (we all know it's going to be GOTY). But this is only getting better, because we have collected strong evidence that the journey doesn't end here. Everything points to a future with more content for Tears of the Kingdom. A hidden detail on the official website has already confirmed DLC for the game.

Since Breath of the Wild has additional content, such as the Expansion Pass, it is not unreasonable to expect DLC for Tears of the Kingdom. In fact, although Nintendo still hasn't officially announced it, a DLC for Zelda TotK is basically confirmed.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC Confirmed

Zelda TotK has just been released last month, but we already spotted a very clear hint towards DLC for the game. Scroll down on the official Zelda Tears of the Kingdom website and you'll find a disclaimer saying: "Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately” which is basically Nintendo confirming a DLC without even announcing it.

Update: The disclaimer has been removed by Nintendo. However, checking Wayback Machine you can still see it:

In addition to the notice found on Nintendo's official website, speculation regarding DLC for Tears of the Kingdom has intensified due to the presence of two unreleased paraglider fabrics. A recent video by Lootward, a popular YouTuber, showcased all the paraglider fabrics available in the game, but it also unveiled two fabrics that are currently unavailable. The "Demon King fabric" can be spotted at 3:35, while the "Princess Zelda fabric" appears at 3:11.

While many initially speculated that these fabrics might be part of future DLC for Tears of the Kingdom, our belief is that they will likely become accessible through upcoming amiibo figures.

Zelda TotK DLC Release Date Prediction

Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn't given us any hints for a possible release date yet. The Breath of the Wild expansion pass was able for purchase as soon as the game came out, with the first batch of DLCs (The Master Trials) coming out roughly four months post release and the last part of the DLC (The Champions' Ballad) arriving nine months after launch.

We hope that TotK will get DLC just as quickly. We're unfortunately skeptical about that, considering that nothing has been officially announced yet.

Luckily, there is another way to get exclusive content for Tears of the Kingdom, and that is through amiibo! Scanning different amiibo figures can get you all types of special items in the game! Here is a list of available amiibo for Tears of the Kingdom and what they all unlock.

Did you know that you can get a new design for your paraglider, by scanning the Link's new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom amiibo figure on your Nintendo Switch?
