Apex will be adding a trans character to the list of Legends in Season 15. Who is this new person? And how long will it take before they're in a relationship with Loba?
Apex Legends has always been impressively progressive, just look at how many of their characters are from the LGBTQIA2S+ community. And so it should really come as no surprise that they've finally given us a trans character. To be specific, this is a legend called Catalyst, and she looks like a badass.
We're not sure yet whether she'll be as popular as Vantage, but she'll certainly be more popular than Newcastle. Let's take a look at what we know about the new Legend, from the lore to the abilities.

New Trans Legends Coming To Apex: Catalyst
A new trans Legend, Catalyst, will be joining the roster of Legends in Apex Season 15. So far we know that she transitioned as a teenager and was part of a kind of environmentally-conscious sisterhood. The leader of this sisterhood invited Catalyst to go blow up a big industrial plant that was doing something to hurt their home planet. And while her friend died, Catalyst survived.

What's so upsetting about this is that they've made her look completely lame compared to how we originally saw her in the leak from a few months ago. Now she just looks like Horizon's edgy sister. What a waste.

We loved the darker, witch-inspired aesthetic. But apparently Respawn didn't.
When Is Catalyst's Release Date:
Catalyst will be released at the start of Season 15, on November 1, 2022. You can read all about the new Apex Legends season here. It promises to be a very cool update, with a new map, and even the possibility of a new weapon.
Catalyst's Abilities
These are apparently going to be Catalyst's abilities:
- Catalyst's Passive: "Reinforce" – Standing near your ferrofluid structures, doors, and other Legends' placeables will strengthen their integrity and allow them to take significantly more damage.
- Catalyst's Tactical: "Resin Shot" – Fire an orb of ferrofluid, causing enemies that step in it to become slowed or stuck.
- Catalyst's Ultimate: "Ferro Wall" – Cast a wall of ferrofluid that blocks vision, and slows enemies.

We're very hyped about Catalyst. The aesthetic is super cool, and the abilities sound interesting. Although she certainly doesn't sound like an easy Legend to use. For any beginners, we advise starting with these Legends instead.
