The 2023 Mid-Season Invitational will feature an in-game event with some brand-new skins as well. Now some of these LoL skin concepts have leaked, as well as a few champions.
League of Legends brings out new skins every two weeks with a new patch, that is nothing new, it's the ebb and flow of the game, and the way Riot makes most of their money when it comes to the free to play MOBA and now some new skins have just leaked.
Content creator BigBadBear revealed some spicy new information regarding these new skins that will hit the rift very soon so let's go over all the information we know.
LoL MSI 2023 Event Skins: Champions Leaked
Not all champions receiving skins in this skin line have been leaked, but there are three that seem to be pretty much confirmed, if we can go by the information from BigBadBear, as well as one potential champion skin.
- Udyr
- Volibear
- Master Yi
Seem to be the confirmed champions for the new skin line that will make it's debut around the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational, but there is one more champion that could also be getting a skin.
BigBadBear also mentioned in his video, that Yone should be getting a skin this year and that there have been rumours around his skin for a while. He explained that it is highly likely that Yone will be getting a skin as well. Whether it's a prestige skin or a second legendary has not been revealed yet though.

In another video, some of the promo art for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational was also revealed and there was one poster with Kai'Sa in a Neo Tokyo-esque look, which could suggest that she is also going to be getting a skin in this skin line.
Skin Concepts For MSI 2023 Event Leaked
While there are no images of the leaked skins, BigBadBear described the skins as a mixture of Blood Moon and Wild Rift's Supreme Cells skins. Both skin lines are on the darker and edgier side, which means that they do fit together.
Looking at the colour scheme of the skins it could also make sense. The promotional material for MSI 2023 has been red and black thus far, and comparing that to Blood Moon, as well as Zed's Supreme Cells skin, then this concept would fit perfectly with the overall 2023 MSI theme.
LoL MSI Event Release Date
The 2023 Mid-Season Invitational will kick off on May 2, 2023 which means that the event should also start around that time. With LoL Patch 13.9 releasing on May 3, 2023, the skins and event will likely be released around then as well, going live on May 4, 2023.
This means that we are getting a brand-new skin line for champions that haven't gotten new skins in a while. Which other champions would fit into this concept though? Maybe Leona or Rell would be nice additions as well.
