New Weapons

For Season 5, wewill get a total of five new guns, two of which will be available at launch to unlock via the Battle Pass. Five new weapons is quite a lot for one season, especially since the fifth one isn't just a random melee weapon:

FR Avancer (FAMAS)LaunchAR
Carrack .300LaunchSniper
TBA (probably suppressed MP5)

The last weapons added were the Tempus Razorback, ISO 45 and MX Guardian.

New Maps

Since Vondel is still pretty new, we won't get a new Warzone map in Season 5, however, there will be new multiplayer maps. We will get a total of five new multiplayer maps during season 5:

  • Punta Mar (6v6)
  • Strike (6v6)
  • DRC - Zone 1 (6v6)
  • Lounge (Gunfight)
  • Canal (Gunfight)

New Modes

For Warzone, we will get a Modern Warfare 3 reveal event during Warzone Season 5, but we will also get two other modes:

  • Fort Resurgence: For this mode, the AL Bagra Fortress from the Al Mazrah map will be "cut out" and serve as another small Resurgence map.
  • Armored Royale: This mode has been in Warzone before. Each squad will get their own MRAP with a turret and mobile buy station that can be repaired.

MW2 will also get some new game modes in Season 5:

  • Havoc: A completely new mode without perk packages, killstreaks or field upgrades. Instead, every time a squad reaches a multiple of 12 kills, a new crazy modifier will be added to the match.
  • Big Capture The Flag: Well, this is just Capture The Flag on the big Battle maps.
  • Gunfigth Variants: Three Gunfight Variants will be available for you to play: Gunfight Custom, Gunfight Snipers, and Armored Gunfight.

New Operators

Season 5 will obviously bring some new operators into the game. Besides Graves, who we already know from the campaign, we will get four other CoD operators as well as three Hip Hop legends:

  • Oz (Battle Pass)
  • Graves (Battle Pass)
  • Mila (Battle Pass)
  • Velikan (Battle Pass)
  • Mace (In-Season)
  • Snoop Dogg (Bundle)
  • Nicki Minaj (Bundle)
  • 21 Savage (In-Season)

Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 5: Battle Pass

As it's customary in Call of Duty, there will be a new Battle Pass in Season 5.

The premium version costs 1100 CP or around $10, but there is also the BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle for $30 which includes 25 Battle Pass Tokens to spend straight away, as well as some additional rewards.

It is also offered with cross-progression, meaning that you can level the Battle Pass in Warzone 2/DMZ or in Modern Warfare 2. As soon as Warzone Mobile will release in 2023, you will most likely be able to progress your Battle Pass there as well.
