I bet you've seen the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless around. Everyone's talking about it at this point, and we'd be a bad gaming website if we didn't either. So, let's go over a couple of things before we really go into detail about why you need this bad boy.

Let's not beat around the bush here, I know what caught your eye… The cable type. I mean USB? What more can you ask for? Just kidding, obviously, I mean the battery life. 300 hours is a very long time. I have no idea how they managed to cram 300 hours into the battery but props to HyperX, because that is a total game-changer.
One of the biggest drawbacks of wireless headsets (or just anything wireless in general), is having to charge them frequently. I use a wireless mouse every day and even though the battery life is pretty reasonable, it's just annoying to have it die in the middle of your game of League of Legends (that must be the reason why I'm stuck in silver!) and to have to charge it. But with this headset, you can charge it once and forget about it for a couple of weeks. Very neat! And you would think that with such an insane battery life, you would have to spend half an eternity charging it, but actually, it only takes 4.5 hours! That's pretty insane if you ask me!

What else is there apart from a battery large enough to power a small city? Well, the audio quality is also top-notch! HyperX really delivered on the audio quality and while battery life is nice, obviously, the main thing to look at when considering buying a headset is if it even sounds good… Duh! The audio quality is really clear, and it sounds fantastic. Honestly, I'm not an audio engineer, so I'm not an expert on the bass and highs and all that fancy stuff, but all you need to know is that they incorporate Dual Chamber Technology to tune the mids and highs separately from the bass-heavy lows.
Now I don't know if it makes a difference to the average consumer or to someone not well versed in audio engineering, but I can tell you one thing: It sounds amazing. I've listened to a lot of stuff on it, from some chill lo-fi beats to ASMR and even the EarlyGame podcast (which you should definitely go check out after finishing reading this review!) and it's just a treat, honestly.

As for the comfort side of things, the soft memory foam and leatherette keep the headset lightweight but comfortable, perfect for long gaming sessions! This is a more personal thing as everyone has different concepts of what's comfortable for them, but there's a very high chance you will be happy with the feel of the headset.
The frame is made of sturdy red aluminum. Also included in the box is a detachable microphone and a pop filter for it. The microphone is good, but nothing too special, just more or less what you would imagine for a headset mic. Apart from that, you also have a knob to adjust the volume and buttons to turn the headset on and off and a button to mute the microphone.

HyperX also has a software that you can download from their website in order to keep you up to date with drivers. You also have the option to adjust several settings on not just the headset, but also other HyperX products like the Pulsefire Haste mouse, which our colleague Szymon already wrote an article on. For the headset specifically, you can adjust the overall volume, the microphone volume, a setting called “DTS Spatial Audio” for “immersion and precise sound localization” and last but not least, there's also an equalizer that allows you to play around with bass, treble, frequencies and all that tech-y stuff if you're into that.

There's one last detail we haven't discussed yet. The price. At 200 USD, it's quite a hefty chunk of change, and this is probably the main reason why people would shy away from this headset. It's a fantastic headset that really delivers, and having used it myself, I can understand the price tag and find it quite reasonable, but obviously, not everyone has the money to spend on a headset like this.
