Riot is finally going to be nerfing Zeri in LoL Patch 13.12. The champion has been a key pro play pick and most people are sick and tired of her, so let's go over what is being changed.
Zeri has become a meme since her recent release just over a year ago. She's received as many mini reworks and adjustment as Ryze has in his long lifetime on Summoner's Rift and for LoL Patch 13.12 another set of changes have been announced for the bot lane menace.
Zeri has become the pick to watch out for in pro play, with the meta being so stale that even professional LoL casters cannot bear to watch anymore, nearly going insane with the stale bot lane meta. So, what is Riot going to be changing on Zeri's kit?
LoL Patch 13.12: Much-Needed Zeri Nerfs Planned
Zeri is getting some big nerfs in LoL Patch 13.12. She was nerfed ahead of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational and the fact that Yuumi, with whom she synergizes perfectly, was also removed from the event helped keep her at bay.

With a whole bunch of item adjustment and changes though she's had quite the resurgence, with her Trinity Force build coming in hot. Therefore, Riot August revealed the balance team's plans for her and what they're thinking of changing.
Some of the proposed adjustments have been things players have asked for, for what feels like centuries.
All Zeri Changes For LoL Patch 13.12
Let's quickly go over the changes that Riot will be making to Zeri in the upcoming League of Legends patch.
Base Stats
- Movement Speed: 330 >>> 335
P - Living Battery
- 45% Shield steal and 10% Movement Speed buff for 2s when shielded >>> Removed
- Q passive moved here (Basic attacks are abilities, charged attacks deal burst magic damage)
- Fully charged Basic Attacks now activate sheen (like an ability)

Q - Burst Fire
- Basic attack passive moved to Passive
- No longer activates sheen (like an attack)
E - Spark Surge
- On-Hit crit scaling: 65% >>> 85%
With these adjustments Zeri will have her shield passive removed and instead her Q passive will be moved into her main passive ability. This is something most fans are pretty happy about, moving the Sheen proc to her passive and away from her Q.
Also, with the changes to her E, adding more crit scaling could mean that we will see more variety in builds for the champion.
Will players, especially in pro, move away from Zeri or continue to play her? Yuumi is also on the nerf list for LoL Patch 13.12 so we could be getting some huge changes in the upcoming meta... or it's just us huffing some hopium by this point.
