Amazon Prime Video had a huge success with Good Omens, a show based on Terry Pratchett's and Neil Gaiman's novel with the same name. Fans had to wait for four years, but it was worth it. We're treated to season 2 now and I'm beyond hyped!
Good Omens follows the shenanigans of an unlikely pair: the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley. As Earth is such a nice place to live and they quite like it here, the two of them team up to protect it, leading to the most ridiculous situations. Here's what's in store for season 2 – completely spoiler-free!
Good Omens Season 2: Release Date
Good Omens Season 2 releases on Prime Video on July 28, 2023. It really took four years after the release of season one, huh? But I'm not complaining, I'm just glad it's here now!

Good Omens Season 2: Cast
Season 2 of Good Omens brings back lots of faces we know and love. Get this:
- Michael Sheen as Aziraphale
- David Tennant as Crowley
- Miranda Richardson as Shax
- Jon Hamm as Gabriel
- Nina Sosanya as Nina
- Doon Mackichan as Archangel Michael
- Gloria Obianyo as Uriel
And even though we won't be seeing Benedict Cumberbatch again in Season 2, there are a few new additions that can make up for that loss, including Quelin Sepulveda, Shelley Conn and Peter Davison.
Good Omens Season 2: Plot
I promised in the beginning I wouldn't spoil anything and I intend to stick to that promise, so don't worry. Let's just say you're in for a ride!
Neil Gaiman shared that he and late Terry Pratchett have talked about where the story was headed when they came up with it, even though they never made the sequel into book form. So while season 2 officially doesn't have the book foundation anymore, the original writers' ideas for Aziraphale and Crowley are still their ideas. So season 2 shouldn't stand in line with some other butchered continuations – thank heaven and hell.

Just like season 1, the second season of Good Omens will have six episodes. All of them are once again directed by Douglas Mackinnon and written by Neil Gaiman, who was supported by John Finnemore this time around. Here's the episode guide:
