We are nearing Genshin Impact Patch 4.0 and HoYoverse has finally revealed their drip marketing for upcoming characters that will greet us in Fontaine!
It's drip marketing time at Genshin Impact. Sure, The final version 3.8 is not even out yet and players are already drooling over the newest revealed characters that will be released along with Fontaine.
It's always the most exciting time when HoYoverse adds a new region in Genshin Impact and this time we're going to the north-west to Fontaine where we're going to be swimming through new content, and new characters.

There have been some characters that players knew about long before the release of some regions in Teyvat. Kamisato Ayaka was one of them and two characters that were finally revealed on July 3, 2023.

Lyney and Lynette, a magical duo, had been characters players and fans have known about since the beginning of the story. Now, three years since release, they're finally being added to the game, along with one more character – Freminet.
Three new characters have been revealed to be released with the 4.0 banners.

Not only have these three new characters been revealed, but HoYoverse also released a trailer for Fontaine in which we can see multiple characters that have previously been part of multiple Genshin Impact leaks.
The Hydro archon, Focalors, will be playable soon, along with a multitude of other characters. Arlencchino, one of the Fatui Harbingers, will also be playing a key role in Fontaine, though it has not been revealed yet whether she will be playable.
Charlotte, whom we've met in the 3.7 update is also included in the trailer, and she likely will also be a playable hydro character at one point.
Along with the characters we know, there are also quite a lot of new cameos for upcoming characters that will likely be part of future Genshin banners.
Genshin Update 4.0 should be released around August 4, 2023 if we go by the usual HoYoverse release timeline. Then you can get your hands on these characters.
