With the latest Patch 3.4, the Lantern Rite of 2023 has finally started. In "The Exquisite Night Chimes", players have the opportunity to complete challenges and get amazing rewards for it. This year, it even offers a 4-star character for free! Here is when and how to claim it.
Duration of the event
The Lantern Rite event will run from January 19 to February 6 at 4am. This means that you have two and a half weeks, to complete the challenges, farm Festive Fever and get your rewards.

How to get rewards
To unlock the 2023 Lantern Rite rewards, travelers must have reached at least Adventure Rank 28 and have completed the Archon Quest all the way to "A New Star Approaches" Chapter 1: Act 3. Otherwise, this event won't be accessible to you.
The Lantern Rite 2023 consists of four mini-events, Paper Theatre, Radiant Sparks, Vigilance at Sea and Behind the Scenes. These will become available once the player has completed part 1 of the "Exquisite Night Chimes" event story. In order to get a 4-star character, players need to complete all four of the mini-events and reach a total of 800 Festive Fever until the end of Lantern Rite on February 6.

After reaching all qualifications, players can claim their rewards and get to choose one out of nine Liyue characters, which are: Xingqui, Xiangling, Yun Jin, Beidou, Yanfei, Xinyan, Ningguang, Chongyun, and even Yaoyao.
