It's time for another big Fortnite tournament! Because the DreamHack Open is back with a massive $250,000 prize pool. We have all the information about the tournament, registration and the schedule for you!
The Fortnite DreamHack Open offers everyone the opportunity to participate. And as we know from the last events, this series of tournaments is extremely popular. No wonder, because you can enter and win a share of a mega-fat prize pool of $250,000! And if you just want to chill and watch, then of course you can. Fortnite DreamHack Open schedule
As with past events, we're likely to see some of the best Fortnite players in the world at the Fortnite DreamHack Open. The Zero Build Duo tournament will run for three days, from Friday April 7th to Sunday April 9th. The only silly thing for those who don't live nearby is that DreamHack is taking place in San Diego this time. But if, for whatever reason, you happen to be in the area, you can find the complete schedule here:
Friday April 7th
- Heat 1: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Heat 2: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
Saturday April 8th
- Heat 3: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Heat 4: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
Sunday April 9th
- Finals: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m
Note that this is the time zone in San Diego and not Europe.

Fortnite DreamHack Open Format
So far it has been confirmed that it will be a zero-build duo tournament, split across four separate heats. These heats last three hours and during that time players can participate in as many games as the system allows.
The twelve best duos from the first, second and third round qualify for the final round. The fourteen best duos from the fourth round. It's a points-based system, with duos earning 60 points for each Epic Victory. For each elimination there are three points in the heats and even 5 in the finals!
Depending on their placement, the duos will then receive a share of the $250,000 prize pool.
Fortnite DreamHack Open Registration
Basically everyone can participate in the DreamHack Open tournament. At least if you manage to bring your PC to the event in San Diego.
Namely, as long as you have a ticket to the DreamHack Open and a PC, you can register for the Fortnite event in San Diego. The cheapest ticket is $109. But if you take part in the tournament, you should be able to get the money back easily if only the ticket price keeps you from participating.
While we don't know the exact prize breakdown yet, last year at the DreamHack Winter event in Jönköping, the tournament's ninety-nine players each won at least $200, with the top prize being $12,000. The prize pool itself was "only" $100,000.
