EA Sports FC 24 will introduce completely new Icons. We show you all FUT Icons in EA FC 24 – from the newly confirmed women to more leaked legendary men to be included.
EA Sports is making a change. Instead of FIFA 24, this year we can pre-order EA Sports FC 24. With the new name for the football simulation, we can expect plenty of new features and other innovations. The biggest change is the inclusion of women in Ultimate Team. The developers are taking new paths – we're looking forward to it!

The first female Icon in FUT history has already basically been confirmed by EA with Mia Hamm as she can be seen on the cover of the Ultimate Edition. She retired in 2004, scored 158 goals in 276 games for the USA, and will certainly be playable. As a small (5'5"), agile, and strong finisher and dribbler, she could fit perfectly into the EA FC 24 meta.
EA Sports FC 24: New Icons Confirmed – Leaks Reveal Three More Icons
During the reveal event, EA has already confirmed new Icons in the form of special cards for women. However, the most exciting part is the new Icons that have not been revealed yet. According to a well-known leaker, there are only four new Icons for men.
The number is not surprising, as FIFA 23 also introduced only three new Icons: Gerd Müller, Xabi Alonso, and Jairzinho.

The skillful Brazilian dribbler Jairzinho has stood out and dominated the meta this year. So, we all welcome more Brazilian Icons.
FUT Sheriff has shared a list of potential candidates on Twitter, and according to the reliable source, Franck Ribéry, Zico, and Sir Bobby Charlton are already considered safe choices for new Icons in EA FC 24.

The last remaining Icon rumored to come in EA FC 24 is either Arjen Robben, Sergio Agüero, or Michel Platini – when we read these names, we hope to see all three. Moreover, it is said that Icons will provide more Chemistry than in FIFA 23 which just makes sense as their linking was not particularly well done to be honest.

According to rumors, EA Sports has also allegedly tested several other players and their player models during development. Among them is Francesco Totti – we would also be excited about that. However, not all players can be added to the game right away.

This is because the necessary licenses must be acquired for each player beforehand, which can be a lengthy process (get it?), sometimes taking several years. One of the reasons why we will probably never see Oliver Kahn in an EA game...
We also remember the case of Diego Maradona, whose rights were in dispute for a long time after his death. Ultimately, EA was forced to remove Maradona from the game.
The transfer of rights for Zico was apparently also in limbo for a long time, but it seems that an agreement has been reached. So, in EA Sports FC, you will probably be able to play with the "White Pelé."
We hope for another outstanding Brazilian player to enrich our teams. To ensure you have the optimal start in the new game, we also show you how to get early access to EA FC 24!

All Icons in EA FC 24: This Year, There Will Be More Than 100 Icons
Last season, EA cut a few Icons, removing a total of eight. The mentioned Maradona due to rights issues, as well as Deco, Ryan Giggs, Pep Guardiola, and Fillippo Inzaghi. However, it's different for Hidetoshi Nakata and Jay-Jay Okocha, as they are still in the game but have been downgraded to FUT Heroes.
Marc Overmars, on the other hand, managed to destroy his legendary status himself. The former Ajax star was expelled from the club due to sexual assault – and was already removed during FIFA 22, then didn't appear in the FIFA 23 list (rightfully so).
We expect that EA will remove a few Icons again in EA FC 24 – if only to avoid having too many in packs. Not that we all play with Icons only... But just to keep the list from getting too long, you know?
However, assuming that women will also receive some Icons and we will play with mixed teams in FUT, we firmly believe that the 100 mark will be surpassed again.
If you want to check out all the Icons already in the game, you can do so best on futbin.com.
