The separation between EA Sports and FIFA is official. The successor to FIFA 23 is called "FC 24". Apart from the name and some additional innovations, the game remains the same.

However, much like in FIFA, considerable differences exist between console generations. We'll help determine if it's worthwhile to upgrade from Xbox One to Xbox Series X or S, and explain how the two versions vary.

Comparison: The Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S Versions of EA FC 24

The most obvious difference is the console. Xbox One is far behind in terms of capacity compared to Xbox Series X/S, which can implement completely different technologies. And you can directly notice that in the game.

However, what is also noticeable is the significant price difference between the consoles. If you only play a few hours per month, you don't necessarily need to get an Xbox Series X/S.

EA FC 24: Xbox One And Xbox Series X/S Comparison

Let's now get to the ultimate comparison between Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions of EA FC 24:

EA FC 24 Features
Xbox One Xbox Series X/S
All game modes

Fast loading times

Good gameplay

Crossplay ✅ (PS4) ✅ (PS5, PC)
Hypermotion
AcceleRATE 2.0
Playstyles
Early Access

Price of Standard Edition

$69.99 $69.99
Price of Ultimate Edition $99.99 $99.99
Console price used version approx. $100 Series X: approx. $499

Prices are dynamic and can change at any time, and they may vary depending on the provider. The mentioned prices are for the "normal" Xbox One (not the Pro version) and Xbox Series X.

Xbox One is mostly available for purchase as used. Then, the $499 for an Xbox Series X/S doesn't seem overpriced. The Series S is even more affordable.

By the way, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S have the same FUT transfer market. However, Xbox One players have a disadvantage when sniping players due to longer loading times.

So, which version is better? Our answer is clear: Xbox Series X/S. Even though the game and the console are slightly more expensive, the additional cost is worth it for better gameplay and faster loading times.

EA FC 24 On Xbox One: Hypermotion V And New Features Will Be Missing Again

EA FC 24 will be available for Xbox One. You can either purchase or pre-order the Standard or Ultimate Edition. The pre-order bonuses are also the same as for Xbox Series X/S. The price of the Standard Edition is $79.99, so the Xbox One version is just as expensive as the Xbox Series X/S version.

However, Xbox One owners also have to give up some things. This was already the case with FIFA 23, and we were really disappointed by EA. The image stuttered, sometimes froze, and was generally extremely slow.

Creating a relaxed Dream Squad in Ultimate Team was unfortunately not fun as you sometimes had to struggle through the menu, similar to FIFA 09. That was definitely different on Xbox Series X/S, as the menu ran smoothly and the waiting times were minimal.

The gameplay of FIFA 23 on Xbox One version was okay, although it was in no way comparable to the gameplay on Xbox Series X/S. And it will be mostly the same this year, as there will be hardly any changes or upgrades in terms of gameplay as you have to do without Hypermotion V, different running styles or the new Playstyles.

EA FC 24 On Xbox Series X|S: Next Gen Upgrades Revealed

Xbox Series X/S is the console of the future, incorporating various new technologies like Hypermotion V. The gameplay is completely different because the old PS4 cannot implement features like AcceleRATE 2.0 or the new Playstyles.

In general, Xbox Series X/S has significantly shorter loading times, its drive (if present) is quiet, and it simply looks cooler. Xbox Series X/S is connected through crossplay with PlayStation 5 and PC, giving you more options to connect with friends.
