Diablo 4 is pretty tricky, especially comparing it to its predecessors. The map is huge, the monsters strong and there is just way too much to explore. For anyone who is a completionist it's a dream come true (or maybe a nightmare).

There are also some items that are just extremely rare to find. Some are even so rare that the devs had to go on Twitter to make it clear that these items do actually exist.

On June 24, 2023 Adam Jackson, lead class designer for Diablo 4 had to go on Twitter to reassure players that these rare six items actually existed in the game and weren't just made up fables:

  • Harlequin Crest
  • Melted Heart of Selig
  • Ring of Starless Skies
  • The Grandfather.

These are the six rarest items and up until recently not all of them had been found in the game. That is, until now. The one missing rare item had been the Melted Heart of Selig which was finally found.

The item was picked up by a Chinese Necromancer. They found it in the Blind Burrows Dungeon which is in the Hawezar region.

Now with the item being super-duper rare it should be pretty good, right? Well, it seems that from all of the six rare items this one is likely to be one of the least exciting, due to how heavily it depends on your RNG.

It greatly improves your class's abilities, but it also creates a temporary barrier that uses up a lot of your energy. For every 1% of damage you would have received, it drains 3-8 units of your energy.

Basically the variables could become a problem. If your character loses 10% of their health due to damage, for instance, a roll of 3 would consume 30 units of resource, while a roll of 8 would use up a massive 80 units.

Overall, this could be a problem if you don't have the correct build. But even if the item isn't the most exciting it's still bragging rights to say you've got it, right? Will you try to farm for it?
