The Diablo 4 World Bosses only appear in specific locations, but at what times? We will show you when and where you can find the huge bosses.
Diablo 4 has a shared world and introduces World Events to the franchise. The crazy huge and hard World Bosses are part of these new events. The first world boss, Ashava, could already be challenged in the beta and the Server Slam, with more being introduced in the full game.
However, you can't just go there and slay the boss, World Bosses in Diablo 4 only spawn at specific times.
You will get notified shortly before a World Boss spawns and then get 15 minutes to fight the giant monster. The fights are no easy task and designed to be done by several players, even though some crazy Diablo players already managed to solo a world boss in the beta.

There are three World Bosses in Diablo 4: Ashava the Pestilent, Avarice, the Gold Cursed and Wandering Death, Death Given Life. We'll first show you, when you can fight these special enemies, and then show you the locations for them.
World Boss Spawn Times
The Diablo 4 community has been confused about when the world bosses appear in-game, as they don't seem to have set spawn times anymore. From what we've gathered, it seems like a new world boss shows up every five to eight hours, so roughtly every six hours on average. That means that there should be three to four bosses each day.
The exact timing can be a bit different each time, so there isn't a fixed schedule for when they appear. There are two ways to check the potential spawn times:
- World Bosses are part of the Tree of Whispers. So if you have the tree activated, you should get a notification 30 minutes before a World Boss appears.

World Boss Locations
There are five locations where World Bosses can spawn, one in each region of the game. Each boss can spawn in one of these locations:
- The Crucible, Fractured Peaks
- Caen Adar, Scosglen
- Saraan Caldera, Dry Steppes
- Seared Basin, Khejistan
- Fields of Desecration, Hawezar
