And it's not just us saying this. A recent post on the Diablo 4 Subreddit was also bemoaning the recent changes, and it was upvoted over 19,000 times in just 24 hours. In fact, at the time of writing, this is the 9th most-upvoted post of all time on the D4 Subreddit:

The OP, u/TheMorals, makes some fantastic points, and it seems like the community are almost in complete agreement with them. This patch seems to make the whole game more grindy and less fun.
And fans reacted in much the same way on Twitter. One of the most-liked responses to the official patch announcement simply reads:
Well after reading the patch notes. I can confirm that this is the single worst patch in video game history. I am so astonished at how bad this is. There are no words to describe the clown car your balance team drive to work in.
We will extensively test the update ourselves, but based on the patch notes at least, we have to agree with this user.
