The first Diablo 4 season is just about to launch! Here's the exact release date and start time for Diablo 4 Season 1 alias "Season of the Malignant".
Diablo 4 Season 1 was first revealed by Blizzard on July 6 and is called Season of the Malignant. This season will take place after the main campaign of the game and offers you a brand-new questline.
There's a new kind of corruption spreading over the land of Sanctuary, called the Malignant. And of course you're the only one able to help. So get ready to slay more demons and save the world once again!

Diablo 4 Season 1: Release Date And Start Time
The Season of the Malignant, or simpler, season 1 of Diablo 4 will go live on July 20, 2023. The precise time of the launch wasn't revealed during the Blizzard livestream, but you'll find a countdown on the official season website.
Doing the math, we get a start time of 10 am PDT/1 pm EDT/ 6 pm BST/ 7 pm CEST. At this time you should be able to start the Season of the Malignant.
But be aware that you might have trouble downloading game files or entering the game, since just like you, many other Diablo 4 players will try to log in simultaneously.
This can result in server issues or even downtimes, like it happened several times before. If you have problems starting the game properly, check the Diablo 4 server status to find out whether other players face similar issues. If that's the case, you will most likely be forced to wait until Blizzard has solved the problem.

According to Blizzard, the minimum amount of time a season in Diablo 4 will run is about 12 weeks. So we can expect Diablo 4 season 2 to be released around October, shortly before or even at the BlizzCon 2023.

Season 1, the Season of the Malignant, will be the first major content update for Diablo 4 since the launch in June. You will get a brand-new questline, centered around the titular Malignant.
