In COD: Mobile, a fresh Ranked Placement Match system has been incorporated to determine a player's rank based on their performance in three Solo matches.

Additionally, players will be matched with opponents of similar skill levels based on the rank they achieve after the placement matches.

A similar approach was observed in the latest Apex Legends Ranked Season, and now COD: Mobile has also opted for this method to ensure players face adversaries of comparable skill levels.

Upon launching the game, a prompt will inform you about this new mechanic. However, if you missed it or skipped it by mistake, it states, "You must complete 3 Ranked Placement Matches before starting Ranked Matches.

The message continues, "Your final ranking will be determined not only by match results but also by your performance. Give it your all, soldier!"

So, that's what's happening with COD: Mobile's latest Ranked Placement and SBMM. To experience this mechanic, your rank must be Elite or lower.

Suppose your rank is currently Elite or below. In that case, upon entering COD: Mobile's Ranked mode, you will be assigned three MP Ranked Placement Matches to play, with the opportunity to quickly climb the ranks based on your performance.

Concerns have arisen regarding this new system, as some players worry that underperforming in these three Ranked Placement Matches may result in being placed in a lower rank than deserved.

While that may be true, starting in a lower rank can actually be advantageous if you struggle in those initial matches, as it provides an opportunity to secure easy wins while honing your skills.
