We know that Baldur's Gate 3 is massive. The game has thousands of endings, added replayability thanks to Dark Urge, and more dialogue than almost any game we've ever heard of. In addition to that, you've got more races and classes to choose from than you could ever hope to play.

But exactly how long is it for the average player? What kind of playtime can you expect in BG3?

Based on our extensive knowledge of Act 1 from Early Access, and our experience with previous Larian games, we feel confident that even the quickest players who choose to skip every instance of dialogue will need at least 60 hours to complete the game. We expect the average time for a playthrough to be around 100 hours. Honestly, for a lot of fans it's probably going to be way over a hundred hours; there's just an insane amount of content in Baldur's Gate 3.

Should you aim for a completionist run, meaning that you want to see everything Baldur's Gate 3 has to offer, every item, all secrets, all achievements and all the different choices, you'll easily need to spendmore than 300 hours. By comparison, the highly anticipated Starfield looks pretty tiny.
