At first, Telegram channels then Twitter were abuzz with excitement and speculation when renowned Call of Duty leaker, CoD_Perseus, shared the leaked images of the game ahead of its official reveal in August 2023.

The screenshots showcased remastered versions of the beloved Terminal and Scrapyard maps from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Fans of the franchise were instantly flooded with nostalgia, as these maps held a special place in their hearts. Unfortunately, the images were quickly deleted and are no longer available online.
